Grief and loss can make a person act out in all the worst kinds of ways. Madalynne Johnson has always been a bit of a handful, but with the loss of her brother, separation of her parents, and her boyfriend’s unexpected news of joining the army she has gone into a full on tailspin.
Parker Grant experienced loss firsthand when his brother took his own life. Darkness closed in. Madalynne saved him; showed him the light. And even though he isn’t sure what the future holds–he wants Madalynne and this time he won’t give up without a fight.
This book can be read as a standalone from the Infinite Love series.
My Forever is an amazing novel that tells the story of how two people in love can be tear apart by time and distance but hey, there’s a saying that love conquers all!
This is truly a wonderful novel that shows just how time and distance apart can be brutal to even the most in-love couple but also, how love can be the only thing that keeps them alive when reality becomes the one thing they cannot accept.
In many ways, it is understandable why Madalynne behaves the way she did when she lost her brother. Parker behaved exactly like her when he too, lost his. Both of them understands each other in ways that no one else can.
Honestly, I can’t believe how much Parker loves Madalynne. He’s willing to sacrifice the thing he want for her! Although in the end he went on to pursue it, he is hopeful in his future with her. I am surprised by the amount of self-control he has!
(Well, because if I’m the one dealing with Madalynne, I’m going to fly off the handle!)
That said, Madalynne Johnson isn’t a bad person. I think she’s just at a loss as to how to deal with all the sudden events. She doesn’t want to lose the love of her life the same way she did with her brother.
Soooo…she went on to do something that make Parker so mad but, let me tell you people, PARKER GRANT LOVES MADALYNNE JOHNSON SO MUCH!
Actually, too much until my heart want to cry when I read the book!
Yes, it’s that emotional.
Both of them are lost, with Madalynne being the one really lost, and they do things at the heat of the moment. A slight and dangerous distraction from the reality they didn’t want to face. So when reality comes crashing down, what will they choose?
READ MY FOREVER TO FIND OUT! (Yes, I highly recommend this book to all readers!)
(Prepare some chocolates and tissues beforehand. It’s going to be an emotional roller-coaster ride!)
