The ultimate pleasure lies in sweet surrender . . .
Brash. Brilliant. Devastatingly handsome. Billionaire playboy Rafe Contini can have any woman he wants-no strings, no commitments, no promises. But when American graduate student Nicole Parrish crashes his private party in Monte Carlo, he wants more than a casual one-night stand. He wants to possess this beautiful stranger-body, mind, and soul.
Nicole isn’t interested in being possessed by any man-especially one as powerful as Rafe. But with a seductive smile and enigmatic charm, he lures her into his private world of erotic discovery and pushes her to the brink of ecstasy. In the summer days-and nights-that follow, they explore every forbidden fantasy, every willful desire, every wild, dizzying sensation. And come dangerously close to crossing the line-between love and lust, pleasure and pain, power and possession…
Nicole is the most stubborn and powerful woman that I have ever read about that will make anyone think twice before getting into an argument with her! She’s headstrong and strong-willed, that’s for sure, but her ability to defy everything even when Rafe seems to be exerting his power and charm over her is just amazing!
Rafe Contini is used to having women falling on their knees and fawning over him, but what he doesn’t expect was Nicole’s hard-assed and stubborn attitude.
She becomes his latest challenge – his latest obsession.
Now I get why the book was named Power & Possession! Both Nicole and Rafe has power over their own, with Nicole having more in my opinion yet they want to possess each other. Especially Rafe, he wants Nicole but Nicole proves to be the hardest challenge ever!
They need and crave power.
They are each other’s possession.
Now now, I always like an obstinate and challenging female protagonist but somehow, I feel as if Nicole is way too stubborn. Almost as if she’s acting like a child, which is why in the first place, I almost lost interest in the book and from the way Rafe deals with her, it’s like a father trying to pacify his spoiled daughter.
Though, things do improve and get better as the story goes on. By improving, I meant Nicole seems to be less stubborn BUT she is still stubborn.
Get it? No? Yeah, me too!
