Plans are made to be broken.

Once upon a time, the championship was all that mattered to Donald Freyer, until cancer took it all away—his wife, his career—turning him into a bitter old man. Then Jami came along, showed him what it meant to care again. Gave him a reason to smile.

Blood isn’t always thicker.

With Jami and Ally preparing to bring a new life into the world, Don sees an opportunity to give them something they never had growing up: stability. This new lease on life is just the thing they need to ensure their family will thrive, but before he has the chance to follow through, that nasty thing called life rears its ugly head again. Now, Don is forced to fight for something greater than a championship belt. He’s fighting for his life.

Unshakable was an amazing short read!

I have only ever read unDefeated in the Wayward Fighters series but that itself was enough to make fall in love with all the characters and this author’s novels!

Unshakable gives closure to the readers’ favourite characters such as Jami and Ally, Parker and Olivia! However, the main focus will be on Donald Freyer!

(Okay, he was a somewhat new character to me.)

I absolutely love how they treat each other as family, even though they are not blood-related to each other. That also means, that they care deeply for one another and especially when Don was fighting for his life, Jami was the one hurting most.

I WANT TO CRY AND HUG JAMI but there’s Ally so I’ll hug myself!

One of my favourite scenes was definitely the part when Jami realise his hands did not give up on him and do the one thing he fears most when it comes to his child…

(Oh my god! Oh my god! *wails*)

I will most definitely go check out the first two novels in the Wayward Fighters series and keep an eye out for J.C. Valentine!

Highly recommended for fans of the Wayward Fighters series!

*Thank you to the author for providing me with an eARC in exchange for a honest review.
