“I should never have asked for a night with you. This would never have happened if I’d had more willpower.”

A thief met a possession and did what he did best.
Now, he has to live with the consequences.
Including the girl he claimed.

Pimlico was stolen and sold all before her twenty-first birthday.
Two years with a master who almost killed her is over.
She has a new master now.
A master who demands everything, expects everything, and requires ultimate access to her mind.

Elder broke countless rules when he took the girl who wasn’t his.
She confuses and bewitches him, but his fascination won’t save her from his desires.

He wants to know her.
She wants to forget.
Together…they’re doomed.

OH. MY. GOD.

DOLLARS. IS. LITERALLY. PERFECTION.

Pepper Winters, best known for her dark romance novels, whose characters’ souls and personalities are wrecked inside out, have once again surprised me with her latest novel.

Her characters have a distinct style, where her male protagonists are constantly trying to outrun the demons of their past, and her female protagonists are usually ones who gets kidnapped but emerge stronger than before when they manage to break their broken shell.

The love between the characters are twisted. Or at least, it is in the world of Pepper Winters. This is part of the reason why I love dark romance, and specifically, this particular author’s novels. The only word strong enough to describe this love between the characters, is passionate.

I would suggest clearing one’s schedule for the next hour or two because once you start on Dollars, there is no stopping. Dollars will have you turning the pages and leave you hungry for more. Dollars really surprised me. It is quite different and stands out from the Monsters in the Dark and Debt Inheritance series.

I have never wished so hard upon the recovery of her mind of this author’s female protagonist as I ever had for Pim. It was literally torture, going through what Pim feels. The inner struggle between the shell she was, and the girl she used to be before her kidnapping. Pimlico against Tasmin.

Also, something unexpected was the combination between Elder Prest and his cello. I have never read a character with such musical inclination and the love he has for his music. I believe this character is one who can love passionately, but fall to the deepest bottom when the people he loves despise him.

He is surprisingly gentle, and often, his words and thoughts contradicts each other. Even till the end, when his last ounce of self-control seems to be gone, he regrets what he had done and intends to do the very thing he had promised he will never do. Just for Pim.

There is only one thing I can say about Dollars. It is a perfect read, that will leave you wanting for more, and one highly recommended for dark romance readers!

EXCERPT

The melting of the snow brought about a mixture of emotions. Realizations I didn’t want to admit to. Awareness that dawned on me brighter than the noon sun back home in South Florida. Resistance to what was happening around me.

I’ve never been happier to be back at work, doing what I know and keeping my mind busy with tempos.

After the second night of being snowed in, Max left and prepared for a short trip to Germany. His words. Probably meant to ease me and inform me he’ll be back soon.

In my own silence, I analyze my world. I analyze my truths and my deceptions. I was living a life I was content with until recently. I was surviving without the constant memories drowning my mind. The insecurities I buried deep within not making an appearance.

Until now.

Now everything has resurfaced. Now every truth is exposed in the front of my mind, a cursing memory haunting me in case I had forgotten where I came from and who I was.

A rag-doll with loose threads barely keeping her together. Unsown by a seam ripper who fed off of her pain.

Anyway. Not having Max around has given me space. Space to think. Space to breathe. Space to hide. The glass shelters me despite its transparent state. The walls in my small room protect me. The men that walk in surrender to me. All of this makes for the perfect escape. An escape I am craving and dreading at the same time. My analytical self knows this is what has helped me move forward in life. My foolish self wants to tear at the belief system I’ve created to fall victim to fairy tales with a Prince Charming and a Sleeping Beauty waiting to be awoken by a kiss.

Kisses don’t heal. Princes don’t wake you up from nightmares. You are responsible for your own living and the only one who can break the bonds of the past.

REVIEW

Red Lights, Black Hearts is a novel beyond this world!

The words that brings out the emotions of the characters’…

The sentences that tells the tragedy and stories of Samantha and those around her…

Fabiola Francisco is an author whose writing will pull you in so fast and deep…you would not be able to put down her novels once you started reading it!

In her latest novel, she has written more than just the sweetest romance between her characters, but also something so beautifully tragic, one would feel so much sadness and hopefulness for the characters!

The way Miss Fabiola writes in Red Lights, Black Hearts, on Samantha’s feelings, it was almost as if I was her. It felt as if I was Sam, and I was feeling her grey emotions, her detachment to this world. Everything inside this novel feels so real.

Samantha is every man’s dream, sexy, cold and a person who needs control. Yet, the one thing she promised herself she would never do again happened, and that broke the walls she had been building when she arrived in Amsterdam.

Sam truly is one of the most complex, yet, she is also one of the simplest character I have read in any novels. It physically hurts me to see Sam’s inner battle.

Something about the writing in this novel feels so real it hurts.

This novel is a beautiful surprise, and I love the endings in most of the novels I read, but for Red Lights, Black Hearts?

It. Was. Perfect.

This novel has the most unexpected, and perfect ending of one finding herself with some help from a person who broke her facade, releasing herself, and healing from her past.

This novel is highly recommended for everyone! Red Lights, Black Hearts is truly a very unique novel!

A sugar daddy website doesn’t seem a sound basis for an A1 life plan, but I’m a small town girl with big dreams, and there’s this one advert, this one crazy advert I can’t stop thinking about…

Two hot guys seeking their Little Miss Right.
Someone who can entertain them, amuse them, fit in with their corporate schedule.
And sex. They want sex.
Lots of sex.
Bonus, right? One major dose of epic win.

Of course, guys like Carl and Rick have their conditions. One being that they come together, or not at all.
Hell, I can live with that.

And there are no skeletons in their designer closet, none that I can find.
Just two hot sugar daddies, with particular tastes, nothing to worry about.

Until Carl and Rick spill the big one, the one that sends the girls running. A whole string of them before me, running to the hills without so much as a backward glance.

Maybe I should run, too. Thanks but no thanks, see you around, guys, nice knowing you.
But I’m already in way too deep for that.

Warning – as with every other Jade West book, reader discretion is highly advised. This novel contains vivid depictions of MMF / MM relationships, and Jade’s characters, as always, have very filthy mouths. Mature readers only, please.

If Sugar Daddies is your first Jade West novel, then get ready for the ride of your life!

(Literally! *smirks*)

I so did not read the warning, and I was honestly shocked by the explicit details in this novel! Jade West is literally a walking sex-on-a-stick, or at least, her writing of those sexy scenes are! Her characters have the filthiest mouth when it comes to those hot scenes and it is freaking amazing!

Also, I think I may have found a new author to be on my go-to list for all-things-steamy-filthy-and-sexy!

I am just sitting here wondering why is Sugar Daddies my first Jade West novel, because the awesome-as-hell sex scenes and filthy talk are not just the only thing that makes Jade West stand out!

Sure, Carl and Rick have the filthiest mouths you will ever hear but our Katie Smith? Oh yeah, she isn’t one to mess with either! She can be blushing full of innocence, sexy as a goddess and someone who you do not want to get on her bad side!

I have rarely read erotica ménage novels because I feel as if someone will have to sacrifice for the other and threesomes rarely work out on the relationship part, but Sugar Daddies is definitely way above that!

What I love about this novel, is not just because its sexy or filled with the dirtiest talk ever, or the fact that it opened my eyes to different ways of sex, but also because of the emotional aspect of these characters, how these characters each have a story and how they grew as I read the book!

Sugar Daddies is my first Jade West novel, and it is definitely not my last!

This is definitely a novel for all ménage, erotica lovers with a taste for M/M/F interaction complete with the filthiest talk ever!

Review: Bella Vol. 2 by Kimberly Blalock

Bella Vol. 2 UPDATED CoverTitle: Bella Vol. 2 (Sagatori Family Saga #2)
Author: Kimberly Blalock
Release Date: February 2nd 2016
Publisher: Self-Published
Genre: Adult/Contemporary/Mafia Romance
Source: Author
Format: Bought
Pages: 70
Rating: 4 stars

Taking over this family isn’t going to be easy. There are a lot of things that have been left undealt with. A lot of people need reminding of the man I am; what I can do to them, what I can have done to them. I control the cards. I determine what happens. The outcome is in my hands. I am the king.

Weakness isn’t a possibility. I’m not weak. I don’t cry or tell a sob story. Why would I? I wanted to be like my father; strong, willful, powerful. I wanted to make him proud. Jax will keep me as his bride and I will fight back. My words will be silent, my actions controlled. And when he least expects it-when I least expect it- I will do the unthinkable, unimaginable, in my world.

Kimberly Blalock never disappoints!

Just by reading the first two volumes of Bella, I can already tell the Sagatori Family Saga is going to be one amazing series!

If there’s one thing you should know about Kimberly Blalock, it’s that she can write an amazing story, with beautiful, emotional scenes between the characters and action, lots of action in just 70 pages!

From the first volume of Bella, the author has shown clearly that Isabella Sagatori is not just a typical mafia princess, but a headstrong and powerful woman! In this volume, Bella mourns for her father in her own way. Yet, even when she is mourning, she still remains strong and if it’s possible, her will and mind are stronger than ever!

When I mentioned that she takes orders from no one, she is literally doing that. No one, even if it is Jax Moretti, the confusing-yet-hot-as-hell man she had married, tells her what to do!

Of course, it is not because of her strong will and mind that made me love her. Bella does not just do things because she is ‘supposed’ to do, such as for the sake of keeping up appearances, but only when she wants to! One of the scene in this serial really made me love both the author and Bella so much!

Something that also made me really excited for this novel, is that it depicts more than just the headstrong Bella and cold-hearted Jax. I strongly suspects that the both of them have something going on, but it could be probably be the both of them not believing it would become true.

I actually clapped my hands together when Jax was being really nice to Bella, which could be because Bella’s emotion was so happy! Jax does have some redeeming qualities, and this volume actually made me fall a little in love with him!

So the strong female characters, confident and suave male characters, there is also another important element in this author’s writing! ACTION! I honestly think Kimberly has a knack for action scenes with a little plot twist! The scenes just popped out of nowhere and scare you!

Not literally scaring like a horror scene, but scaring you as a reader because her characters…are in trouble!

The pace was pretty fast in the second volume and I do believe the story in between have potential be written into a slightly longer serial! It was a little too fast for me, but nonetheless, I will be reading the next volume because one, my dear readers, does not simply just stop reading a serial, and especially one written by Miss Blalock!

Recommended for all mafia romance readers!

Review: Je suis à toi by Pepper Winters

Je suis à toi CoverTitle: Je suis à toi
Author: Pepper Winters
Release Date: May 29th 2016
Publisher: Self-Published
Genre: Adult/Dark Romance/Erotica

Rating: 5 stars (and way more if it’s possible!)

“Life taught me an eternal love will demand the worst sacrifices. A transcendent love will split your soul, cleaving you into pieces. A love this strong doesn’t grant you sweetness—it grants you pain. And in that pain is the greatest pleasure of all.”

Q made me the happiest esclave in the world. He gave me his heart, his empire, his ruthless unforgiving love. And life finally left us in peace.

A man like my maître has special needs though, growing stronger as our lives intertwine. The only way to survive his monster is to agree to all his desires.

Including his latest wish.

I’m his.

And I won’t refuse.

Ever read a book series that gets you even more addicted to the series with each book? Ever read most of an author’s books and the story in her books gets even better than the previous ones?

Pepper Winters and her Monsters in the Dark series will do both to you!

I have read most of Pepper’s books and with each book, her story, her characters and her writing comes even more alive. I have no idea it was even possible for me to be even more addicted to her books than I already am! Or the fact that her writing gets even better with each book!

Monsters in the Dark was my first dark romance series and needless to say, I have been irrevocably in love with Tess and Q, and of course, the author’s writing since then!

Yes, I have been waiting for Je suis à toi for a long time.

I thought Twisted Together was one of the memorable and emotionally powerful conclusion to a book series. So powerful, that I was satisfied with the series ending the way it did.

I was, obviously and painfully, wrong.

Je suis à toi is definitely one of the most powerful novel to be written by Pepper Winters, and in my opinion, the best novel she had written so far.

I never knew that I needed to know so much more about Tess and Q’s life after Twisted Together. For those who are in love, they are afraid to lose each other. Yet for Q and Tess, losing each other and conforming to the norms were not just something that they are afraid of, it was something they fear.

Losing each other is like losing not just a part of them, but their minds and souls.

At least, that was what I had imagine how Tess and Q would have felt if it happened to them.

Of course, if that happens, I will be screaming my head off and crying for days.

In Je suis à toi, Q is infuriating and stubborn as ever, just like Tess. They ruined each other, but they are also the glue that holds each other together and not break into pieces.

One thing about this author, is that her books will ALWAYS have a twist. Something really surprising and unexpected, and it happened in this novel. I honestly never knew it was possible for Q to actually…do what he thought was the only way to have a family with Tess.

Thank god, or probably the author is a better person to actually convey my gratitude to, for creating Tess Mercer. The one person who could break Q out of his stupor and for him to give in.

Now that I have read this story, I want more. If by any chance, the author decides to write a continuation, or any short stories on Tess and Q, I am definitely going to get my hands on them!

This novel is definitely not for those who can only stomach vanilla sex…

Oh, did I mentioned about the sex? *fans self*

Best be prepared because the scenes are not just steamy and sexy, but it is the epitome of steamy and sexy!

Pepper Winters is a master in writing the steamiest sex scenes!

As I was saying, this novel is not for the faint or weak-hearted, but rather for someone who enjoys reading novels that could invoke extremely powerful emotions!

Review: Lost Without You by Jillian Anselmi

Wedding dress—check.

Walking down the aisle—check.

Saying “I do”—well…

Olivia Barrett has had her fill of disappointment when it comes to the men in her life. After a rude awakening with Chase, she finds herself back with Evan only to have her world turned upside down once more.

Secrets have been revealed, and giving up seems like a viable option, but Chase weasels his way back into her heart. Wooing her off her feet and promising her the world is easy for Chase, but Olivia is hesitant to give herself over to him so fully. Trust must be earned and even though Chase gives her no reason to doubt his love, Olivia can’t help but hold back.

When everything comes to a head, Olivia realizes her love for Chase cannot be matched, but is the decision to stay with him really hers, or will circumstances out of her control decide for her?

Lost Without You is absolutely heart-wrenching.

The second novel in the Chasing Olivia series picks up immediately after Drawn to You, where Olivia is about to make a huge mistake. Thank my lucky stars for Chase, because he is the answer to my prayers when he came and stop her!

Some may be wondering why Olivia took quite some time before realising her love for Chase, but reading Lost Without You has the answer. Her heart is broken more than once, and she needs time for herself.

I love how the author didn’t rush Olivia into another relationship with Chase! Instead, the author gave her time to think through what she truly wants in her life. Chase is, of course, a gentleman when it comes to the well-being of Olivia, but probably not so when it’s physical.

(Hint: There are some really steamy scenes in this novel! *winks*)

Honestly, I did not expect Olivia’s mother to continue siding with a man who cheated and hurt her daughter’s feelings even after Chase revealed a secret. Even though there are explanations as to why her mother behaved this way, I’m still shaking my head when I read about it.

I already know how much of an asshole Evan was (and still is), I just did not expect him to be so…psychotic. Seriously, he could take the meaning of ‘psychotic’ into a whole new level. He is one crazy asshole!

One of the thing I love about this novel, is that the characters are never perfect. Chase may seem like he’s the perfect man for Olivia, but when it comes to emotions wise, he is still pretty new at it.

(I’m pretty sure I have revealed almost everything right about now so I’ll stop before my feels get the better of me!)

Lost Without You is a heartbreakingly beautiful conclusion to Drawn to You and highly recommended for readers who would love a good love story that feels real!

Title: Wicked Steps
Author: Cory Cyr
Genre: Erotic Adult Romance
Release Date: April 2016

Strong language, explicit sexual situations, M/F. F/F. 18+

If anyone had asked ten years ago, I never would have imagined I’d be a thirty-five-year-old widow today.

I could tell you I married Hartman Wick out of love, but it’s complicated. We were friends. He was dying. And he needed me. He also made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Of course, I agreed with the very best of intentions. But we all know what the road to hell is paved with.

All I ever dreamed of was owning my own gallery. A place where my best friend and I could introduce the masses to inspiring and new artists. Hartman promised me the deed to the gallery, wealth, and security for the rest of my life.

Instead, I find myself in a war with his estranged son Kieran—my stepson and one of the most prolific painters, known for his erotic shock art. He’s been plotting revenge against his father for years, and now that Daddy’s dead, he’s seized the opportunity.

Between the constant battles, heated exchanges, and threats of blackmail, I find myself inexplicitly drawn to this twenty-four-year old. He’s beautiful, seductive, arrogant, and evil. Not only is he a gifted artist, but he’s certainly inherited some of his father’s more unsavory traits. He truly is a Wick.

But then he takes things too far and pushes me to my breaking point. I’ve had enough. In retaliation, I make a plan.

And I almost feel sorry for him—almost. I’m sure, even as a child, he was never read a single fairy tale. Poor bastard.

He has no idea how truly wicked a stepmother can be.

Review: The Scene Part Two by Roxy Sloane

The Scene Part Two CoverTitle: The Scene Part Two (The Scene #2)
Author: Roxy Sloane
Release Date: July 22nd 2015
Publisher: Self-Published
Genre: Adult/Erotic Romance/Suspense
Format: eBook
Pages: 94
Rating: 4½  stars

The one man I can’t stay away from is the man I swore to destroy.

I came to Miami determined to reveal the truth behind my brother’s death. Now I’ve discovered that Xavier is the crime king running this city — and I’m going to take him down – if I can keep my hands off him long enough to think straight.

I’m in over my head now, but there’s no going back.

Can I just say the steamy level has gone way off the charts?!

The Scene Part Two is absolutely amazing with suspense and Nicole’s conflicting emotions! You wouldn’t know who or what to trust in Miami!

Everything is literally hot and cold in this second novel! Like poles of opposites end, Nicole’s mind is swirling with the hots and lust for the sexy Xavier and the steamy passion they have. Yet, the rational side of her is convinced that she is betraying her brother because of it.

I think I can actually understand why Xavier was actually fed up with her at one point. She had two extreme thoughts just going around in her mind, the rational side and the one where her body wants Xavier, so that lead to two extreme behaviours.

So it’s Roxy Sloane, the Queen of Smexy-Steamy-Seductive-Writing, we are talking about here and that means the sex between Nicole and Xavier?

You. Best. Be. Prepared. For. The. Hottest. Scenes. In. Your. Life.

Phew!

The characters are all so, how should I say this? In Roxy’s writing, it seems as if Nicole is going out of all her mind and Xavier looks as if he has two sides to him and the dark side is not exactly nice.

So yeah, nobody is safe and trustable and THAT ENDING IS JUST TOO CLIFFY.

(The cliffhanger’s cliff is way too steep!)

So it means THE SCENE PART THREE, HERE I COME!

Highly, like seriously just-get-the-series, recommended for everyone!

Two men want me and I, them. Simple, right? Not like this.

For over two years, I’ve been dealing with a pain in the ass MY way.

Separately.

She has her life and I have mine. They don’t intermingle. It’s the only way to keep things rational. But now she’s done something monumentally stupid and the only way to untangle myself from her mess is to live life in her shoes. Me, on the run in five inch stilettos. Great.

My name is Trista Dividir. I have Dissociative Identity Disorder and Marvy is my other personality, my alter.

To get my life back, I lie, I cheat, and I fall for both of her lovers. Little do I know, I am not the only liar.

Did I mention I have another alter? Yeah, I didn’t know about her either.

Book one in a three part romantic suspense series with a smattering of smexy in between. In the end, you’ll find your HEA…maybe.

Due to mature content and excessive whatever, this is a recommended read for age 18+.

If you are looking for suspense and erotic romance in all the wrong yet sinfully right and sexy places, Pieces of One is the novel for you!

My first Svc Ricketts novel AND IT IS PROVING TO BE SO AMAZING!

Pieces of One reminds me of the Korean drama – Kill Me, Heal Me. The big difference, is that one is a drama where skilled actors are needed, another relies on her writing skills and…can I just say how talented Miss Svc Ricketts is?!

Really, the scenes are hot, the men are hot, and even Trista and her Pieces are HOT!

Marvy is the bad girl inside Trista and she is one sexy, confident and badass woman. Trista is sexy in her own sweet and kind way.

Oh! Oh! Did I mention Valeria? Honestly, that woman is a real badass IN THE SKIN! I have this image of an Amazonian Warrior in my mind, like where Wonder Woman came from!

I swear, Pieces of One is full of TWISTS!

TWISTS EVERYWHERE!

It’s like I ship these two people together AND SUDDENLY, BAM!

When I reach the end, I have a totally new perspective on the other guy and I was shipping the other two. Oh god, I have so MANY QUESTIONS.

I NEED THE NEXT PART.

This is a novel that I would highly recommend for everyone to read!
